"Winnetou II" is a continuation of the adventure cycle of the famous German writer Karl May (1842–1912) about the Apache Mescalero chief Winnetou. The events of the cycle unfold in the second half of the 19th century in the United States during the colonization of the Wild West. In this part, the Killer Hand, having completed his mission, tries to return to his homeland, but, having miraculously escaped during a shipwreck, is forced to remain on the American continent. In New York, he is hired by a private detective agency and goes to the South - in search of the son of a famous American banker, kidnapped by a swindler. During his long journey, he encounters bandits and Ku Klux Klan members, emerges victorious in a fight with the Comanche and Sioux Indians, makes new friends, and, apparently, meets his red-skinned brother Winnetu again, who is still searching for the murderer of his father and sister, Santer.
