Read these verses. Stay close. Lean on the collapsed wall. Breathe in dampness and dust. Listen to the birds singing at the beginning of spring and enemy equipment working at twelve o'clock. And then go to the hole - and look.

How smoke swallows houses. How steel threads of shells break. How the streets are erased, as if with a corrector. Like a sun-jumper falling down. How the grass bends after a group of infantrymen have walked through it. Like a grandfather pulling a bicycle and disappearing into the fog. We must see trees and mountains, snow and rivers, love. And to breathe, because it is a luxury today.

Show yourself. How much sugar you put in your tea. How to fry potatoes. As you squint from the sun. How high you pump your socks. Do you squeeze the paper cup before throwing it in the trash? This loophole is wide. And she is only yours. You just have to take a look.

Don't be afraid.

WHY THIS BOOK IS BY MAXIM "FURTHER" KRYVTSOVA
War sharpens feelings and awareness. Poems about war are like bullets - they strike deadly deep and remain in the heart forever. These are the points of intersection of those on the front line and those in the rear. These are bridges for understanding each other.

The publication contains photos of the author and recordings of poems.
