In the year of our Lord 1521, Pope Leo X issued a bull stating that Rome should never be left in darkness. Five centuries later, bad weather caused one of the power plants to malfunction. To repair the damage, the electricity supply had to be cut off for a day. And Rome was engulfed in darkness, awakening evil.
At dawn, the locals heard a message from transistor receivers: "We have captured Rome, Rome is ours. The defenders of the law and the forces of law and order have already come over to our side." Meanwhile, amidst the chaos and panic, the shadow of a ruthless serial killer moves silently through the city, leaving clues for Marcus and Sandra.
