The pages of this book contain not only the selected short stories, but also the unfinished story "Nedokurok", which has not yet been published anywhere, in which the writer managed to create an original psychological portrait of the main character, although she did not have time to finish his story. However, an equally important part of the book is the almost lost "Autobiography" of Olena Pchilka—a text assembled from fragments of manuscripts, typescripts, and old prints, repressed shortly after the writer's death and scattered on the dark corners of archival shelves.
