Peter is quick, brave and a real mischievous boy - and, like all boys, he loves to play, although his games often end in blood. His eyes sparkle with gold, and the smile he gives you makes him a friend for life.

Fourteen-year-old Nick would have been killed by drug dealers if Peter hadn't saved him. Now the charming wild boy invites Nick to go with him to a secret place of great adventures, where magic is alive and never ages. Despite the fact that Nick is wary of Peter's crazy stories about fairies and monsters, he agrees. After all, New York is no longer safe for him, and what else does he have to lose?

Together with Peter, Nick goes to a gray, desolate island that was once a lush enchanted paradise. There he unwittingly finds himself drawn into a war that has been going on for centuries.
