The book presents a study of various technical techniques of embroidery, common in the workshops of the Cossack elders, their origin and the development of ornamentation. Each chapter is accompanied by detailed illustrations that illustrate the corresponding descriptions. The samples used for research belong to the fund collection of the Chernihiv Historical Museum named after V.V. Tarnovsky The publication will be of interest to ethnographers and embroidery and textile masters.
