In the 30s of the last century, this book was a bestseller and was published in Kolomyia from 1931 to 1938 under the editorship of the magazine "Women's Destiny", whose chief editor at that time was Olena Kysilevska. "The advice that we give in this book is based on the latest scientific research, and the prescriptions are tested - they were delivered to us by our experienced supporters."

The uniqueness of the book is that the readers of "Women's Destiny" sent recipes from different parts of Ukraine. Here you will also find censuses from famous personalities - Olha Kobylyanska, Olha Duchyminska, Adolphina Makohon (mother of Iryna Vilde), Yuliia Markevych (mother of Dariia Tsvek), as well as recipes sent by Ukrainian women from America, Canada, and the Czech Republic.

The book "How to Cook Well and Healthily" is a guide for traveling through time, which will take you almost 100 years back to look into the homes of our grandmothers and great-grandmothers and find out how they lived, what they cooked, how they served, met, received guests, how they took care of nutrition and health, and will certainly give such a special feeling to the house.

Designing and illustrating a book of authentic recipes of Ukrainian cuisine, combining the past with the present is not an easy task. This was achieved by the artist Mariam Naiem. She skillfully managed to weave the patterns (prints) of ancient Ukrainian carpets into the illustrations for the book, which combined with the modern design approach created that invisible bridge between generations.
