Yakutovychi: an arbitrary synopsis. Life and work of the Yakutovych family. Circle. Actual editions and projects

The publication was prepared with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.

This small book, which we called a synopsis, does not offer an "exclusively correct" way of studying Ukrainian art (moreover, in our opinion, it hardly exists). The purpose of this synopsis is, first of all, to acquaint the general public with the creative heritage of the Yakutovych family, members of which were part of the Ukrainian artistic environment in both eras, which currently form a rhetorically important distinction: "Soviet" and "post-Soviet".

This acquaintance will take place in the same way as it has been happening with us until now: in the process of researching the creative work of the Yakutovychs, we are constantly discovering new themes, images and artistic solutions that were addressed by artists and artists.

Claiming that our project about the Yakutovychs is incomplete, we refuse the possibility of an "exhaustive" story about their life and work (you can always tell more!) and promise to continue it.
