Per Ulov Enquist's novel "The Angel Fallen from Heaven" combines four paradoxical love stories. However, the central story is about the life and love of the two-headed man-monster Pascal Pinon for his second head, his wife Maria. Pascal is considered a creation of Satan. He is the angel who fell from heaven.
The style of the novel is grotesque, bordering on absurd. Despite all the darkness, the novel makes you think about such necessary feelings in everyday life as empathy, mutual understanding, support and the ability to forgive.
