The only daughter

The novel "The Only Daughter" tells about one of the most difficult decisions a woman has to make in her life: to have or not to have children. Raising children, artificial insemination, voluntary sterilization, stereotypes and prejudices about the institution of the family are the main topics of the book. But the most interesting thing about it is the characters' characters and their stories, which reveal to us the full complexity of the concept of "modern woman".

In 2023, the novel was shortlisted for the Booker International Prize.
