"Who told you that you should fight with poems? I sing with them," she said and linked her notebooks with carefree, sunny poetry with the romantic hop of Kyiv's past and pure feelings. However, the jealous fate of the Ukrainian poet also awaited her - at the end of her life, the solar energy of Iryna Zhylenko boiled over into the bitter honey of inner loneliness, which overflowed into lines of high poetic value.
The book of selecting one of the best Ukrainian poets of the 20th century included poems from all thirteen of her collections. Unlike the selection with the same name, which was published in 1999-2006, this book covers the entire poetic work of Iryna Zhylenko (April 28, 1941-August 3, 2013), including the last books of poems written before her death.
