Francis Scott Fitzgerald (1896-1940) is an American writer, a vivid representative of the so-called "lost generation".
Fitzgerald was a cult figure of his time, a model of "American happiness." He ensured a high level of his life through creativity - for royalties he wrote short stories to the order of fashionable magazines. Among about 150 skilfully written stories, "The Mysterious Story of Benjamin Button", "A Jewel the Size of the Ritz Hotel", "The Rich Guy", "The Ice Fortress" and others that are included in this collection especially attract attention. Each story has a special charm, mood, psychology, unexpected plot.
"The mysterious story of Benjamin Button" stuns the reader from the first lines: in 1860, a child was born in Baltimore who looks like a 70-year-old man and can speak. When the "boy" turns 12 years old, it becomes clear that he is growing "upside down"...
