Historical fantasy, permeated with magic, mysteries and the atmosphere of Victorian London.
Private detective Ian Cameron comes to his senses in a hospital bed. He does not remember who he is or what happened to him. All that remains is the memory of dark figures in hoods and two strange things: a bloody business card with the name of a master magician and a pocket watch on which time has stopped.
To regain his lost memories, Ian goes to the women who found him unconscious. Edwina and Mary Blackwood, witch sisters with a dark past, run a shop selling things picked up on the banks of the Thames. But Mary is interested not only in the found semi-precious trinkets - she is fascinated by the dead. The witch collects their memories into balls of light, similar to children's toys.
Taking the memories of her surviving husband, Mary sets in motion a murder investigation that threatens the long-standing bond between her and her sister. And rumors spread throughout London that a serial killer is at work in the city.
As the sisters' secret is revealed, the streets become more dangerous. Edwina helps Ian regain his lost memories, but will they become his next victims?
