The Smell of Rain... Memories of Leonid Ushkalov

“The Scent of Rain” is a book about our great contemporary, the true pride of Ukrainian and world humanities. Leonid Volodymyrovych Ushkalov (1956—2019) is a Doctor of Philology, Professor of Kharkiv National Pedagogical University, author of hundreds of brilliant works on the history of Ukrainian literature and philosophy, the greatest researcher of the life and work of G. S. Skovoroda. The book includes the memoirs of the scientist’s wife and son, fragments of epistolary heritage, materials from the family archive, selected passages from correspondence with friends and colleagues, and works of various genres dedicated to this outstanding representative of the Kharkiv philological school.
