In September 1949, young Jacqueline Bouvier crosses the Atlantic and arrives in post-war Paris - a city of freedom, art and at the same time danger. Escape from her mother's expectations and her parents' divorce becomes a chance for her to find herself. France welcomes the girl with bright jazz clubs, avant-garde theater and splashes of champagne. And also - a young talented writer, whose passion for literature is intertwined with her own.

But Paris does not only shine. It also hurts: the tattered walls of the houses remember the occupation, the streets are teeming with spies, and the past of each acquaintance hides untold stories. Jacqueline is unwittingly exposed to communist movements - a curse in America and a part of everyday reality in Europe. Little does she know that this year in Paris will change her forever, becoming the basis for the future legend - Jackie Kennedy.
