The issue focuses on the postage stamp as a historical document and cultural artifact. Through specific issues, overprints, postmarks, and postal practices, it shows how Ukrainian statehood was recorded in different periods: from the UNR and ZUNR, through the interwar period and displaced persons camps, to independent Ukraine and the modern war.
The publication collects research texts by Ukrainian and foreign authors, materials from private and museum collections, as well as separate sections dedicated to civic postal initiatives, in particular the “Maidan Mail.”
The issue will be of interest to historians, cultural researchers, philatelists, and collectors, as well as to anyone interested in the material evidence of Ukrainian history.
