Summer Preston is an A-lister with ambitious plans. She dreams of becoming a sports psychologist and entering graduate school. To do this, the girl needs to make hockey her research topic. Summer hates the game, but her research advisor gives her an ultimatum: either she overcomes her prejudice or loses her place in graduate school. Meanwhile, a careless mistake by the hockey team captain, Aiden Crawford, puts the entire season in jeopardy. So the coach comes up with a real punishment for him: the guy will become the main object of Summer's research. This is the last thing he wants to do, especially since the researcher seems ready to throw skates at him. And Aiden himself completely confirms Summer's worst assumptions about hockey players - he thinks only about the game, hot-tempered, unceremonious. They will have to tolerate each other until the passion between them melts the ice.
