In the play "The Rink", despite the fact that the characters can live simply and easily, they are looking for a dreamed, illusory happiness. In pursuit of it, people are ready to do anything and even step on a slippery path. But despite all attempts, this happiness is only a fleeting, flickering ghost, like ice on a skating rink. Will the characters of the play understand this?
The author touches on a similar topic in the play "Free the Golden Foal". Behind the dull everyday life and preoccupation, the characters simply do not notice that the desired moment of joy is very close. But as soon as it is possible to reach it, consciousness becomes clouded, and the mind strives for mundaneness, because it is impossible to endure such happiness.
