The publication is a continuation of the series of publications of the Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Life, which introduce connoisseurs of folk art to its individual collections. It included embroidery samples from women's and men's shirts, as well as tablecloths from the end of the 19th - the first half of the 20th century.

Mariia Hrytsak, a native of the village of Rosishka, Rakhiv district, is the collector and compiler of the researched collection. Working in different settlements, traveling around the country, she became interested in local embroidery. Insets, collars, cuffs, bibs from Rakhiv region, Khust region, Tiachiv region, Vynohradiv region, Mukachiv region, Berehiv region, Volovets region, Perechyn region, and Velykobereznyi region are an important source for studying the local variability of the ornamental embroidery compositions of Hutsuls, Dolyniany, Boykos, and Lemkщs of Zakarpattia.

For ethnographers, art historians, researchers of folk art and all those interested in the material culture of the region.
