Irena Karpa is a Ukrainian writer, singer of the band "FACTYCHNO SAMI", journalist, cultural diplomat.
At the time of writing the novels "50 Minutes of Grass" and "Freud Would Cry", the author was 22 years old. These works were called defiant, provocative and even revolutionary. They surprised, fascinated, impressed, were triggering, but definitely did not leave the reader indifferent. They are about women who can laugh and cry, be extremely frank with themselves and others, make mistakes and give themselves the right to do what they want. These women may or may not understand everything, but in their relationships with men they themselves manage their lives, whatever they may be.
"50 Minutes of Grass" is a story about love, stages of search and formation; here irony is combined with pain, and the stream of consciousness becomes part of the plot.
The novel "Freud Would Cry," which the author wrote after her trip to Southeast Asia, invites you on a journey through different cities and cultures, and in a broader sense, to learn about yourself and life.
