In the highlands of 18th-century Tibet, the story of Kang Jipa and Moshi Rati approaches its most delicate stage. The young doctor's apprentice has long felt that the bride, brought to his house by the will of his parents, has become something more to him than a promise bound by tradition. But, accustomed to talking about herbs and medicines, he cannot find words for his own heart. One day, the young man witnesses another man courting Rati, and it is this moment that awakens in him a courage that quiet evenings by the fire could not give.
The third volume is a story about mute tenderness that finally seeks a voice, and about love that matures in small, almost imperceptible decisions of the heart. The decoration of the volume will be the bright chapter "The Festival of Horse Racing", full of horse clatter and mountain wind.
