Ordinary teenager Milo Pine expects to spend the Christmas holidays in peace. But it is not easy, especially when your family runs a hotel business with rather unusual guests - smugglers.
One frosty evening, Milo hears a bell downstairs, which means only one thing - hopes for a peaceful Christmas at home have been dashed. Others arrive after the new guest, and Milo begins to suspect that these are not just guests - they all have secrets. The next day Milo meets the cook's daughter Maddy and finds a fragment of the lost map. Together, they start a real adventure — their own investigation in the form of the spy game "Strange Trails".
The house will turn into a mysterious place where everyone will become a suspect. But will Milo and Maddie cope with the investigation?
