Anatolii Dnistrovyi's new poetry collection includes poems written after February 24, 2022, as well as early poems that resonate with the anxieties of the current wartime.
The first flowers of cold spring. Children drawing black bombs and red suitcases. Thick black smoke. The stolen sun of my country. Sirens, the faces gray from fatigue, the enemy. Is there artillery in the other world? Will I dream of a day without war? All these are our days of war and anxiety.
Anatolii Dnistrovyi is a writer and artist. He is the author of more than 20 books of poetry, prose, and essays, including the novels "Dudes", "Drosophila Over Kant's Volume", "B-52" and others.
After the full-scale invasion, Anatolii joined the Defense Forces of Ukraine, serving as a junior lieutenant.
