They live in a typical Kyiv multi-apartment block, with flower beds in front of the entrances and narrow balconies, from which it is so pleasant to listen to the city and watch the night fall on it on summer evenings. They are Lesya and Oleksa, as well as their teenage daughter Taya and dog Dina. Their life also seems ordinary, even banal, until a whirlwind of excessive passion rushes into it, which threatens to destroy and bury everything under itself - established habits, feelings for each other, and even ideas about themselves. Immersing the reader in the story, which at first seems mundane, the story told by Sofiya Andruhovich twists like a spring with each new paragraph, grows tense, and after a few dozen pages, an unstoppable avalanche rushes at the reader, which barely allows one to catch one's breath. And this literary avalanche is so skillful, so refined and beautiful that we can only enjoy it in amazement.
