In preparation for it, the author herself conducted research, interviewing many Go players. The result is an original graphic novel that combines a realistic portrait of the professional go community with a tense plot, while at the same time imbued with nostalgia for an era when manga rental shops were the epicenter of Taiwanese youth culture.
