On the one hand, I, as far as possible, try to beat the style of the old masters, on the other – to imitate that the work was generated by the neural network. In my opinion, these are the most polar extremes that are interesting to merge into a single, special space. Here opened a real space for play and experimentation. Try to consciously distort something, especially something familiar, with which you work all your life - for example, the proportions of the body - it turned out to be much more difficult than I imagined. In the pursuit of perfection there is a great advantage - this path is infinite, therefore unattainable. And then another task arose - a certain regression, failure, sporadic error - and it must be controlled, meaningful, compositionally and meaningfully justified. And this is the most interesting stage of work. When I began to share the series in social networks and receive the first feedback, I decided: the best compliment for me is when the recipient insists that the work is completely generated, and I, as an artist, did not participate in the creation. If the consumer still adds our, so familiar and soulful shit under the post - this is exactly bingo, it means that I managed to create an absolutely luxurious simulacrum of simulacrums, and for this you can raise a glass.
