My war

This book is a personal story of General Valeriy Zaluzhny about his journey from a boy to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, it is the story of a country heading for war: first a ghostly one, in the possibility of which no one believed, and then a large and full-scale one.

Main: In this book, Valeriy Zaluzhny closely intertwines events from different times: from a peaceful school in the 80s in Novograd-Volynskyi (today Zvyahel) he will take you to the Donbas of 2015, to a half-destroyed classroom; from the barracks of a military school to the trenches and dugouts of 2014; from a cozy apartment inhabited by a friendly family to the bunkers of the government quarter of 2022...

Every word of this book is military-wise and humanly sincere.
