Laszlo Strange does not know his real name or origin. He grew up in an abbey orphanage and, as long as he can remember, dreamed of a wonderful, lost city in the deserts with strange beasts and a brave army.
Something happened in that city two hundred years ago, and it seemed to disappear from the face of the earth, losing its real name - now it is called the Cry. Later, the younger librarian Strange has a happy opportunity to join the retinue of Eril-Fane, nicknamed the Godslayer - the head of the mysterious city - in the company of prominent scientists from different countries. Their goal is to solve the problem of the Cry, which Eril-Fane keeps secret from the rest of the group. Laszlo will be waiting for answers to his questions in the city, but even more mysteries. Will the boy be able to finally save the city from the disaster that has befallen it? Who is the blue-skinned girl who appeared to him in his dream? And finally, who is Lazlo himself?
