The Khanenko Museum is home to Ukraine's most valuable collection of Asian and Islamic art. This book is the calling card of the collection, presenting its most important works, and is the result of many years of work by museum researchers.
The edition includes more than 150 works presenting four sections of the collection: the art of the Islamic world, Central and South Asia, China and Japan.
Russia's brutal full-scale war against Ukraine is also aimed at the destruction and looting of cultural heritage. This is clearly evidenced by the sad fate of museums and their collections in the occupied territories. Now the collection of the Khanenko museum is hidden and inaccessible to visitors, the museum halls are empty. So this post is more relevant now than ever.
The publication was created for the widest audience of readers.
Under the scientific editorship of Hanna Rudyk.
