This edition contains the two most famous works of the Ukrainian writer in exile Ivan Bahrianyi - "Garden of Gethsemane" and "Tiger Trappers".

In his novels, which are partly autobiographical, the author mercilessly exposes the entire criminal, cynical and inhuman nature of the communist-Stalinist regime in particular and totalitarianism in general. The main characters of the works, despite all the mockery, humiliation, and torture of the bloody servants of the NKVD punitive machine, do not lose heart, continue to resist the regime and remain human.

Both novels are extremely relevant even in our time, because they make it possible to better understand the motives and intentions of the rushists, who are actually ardent followers of Stalin's punishers. It is their cruel and inhuman methods and ideas that they still resort to in their actions.

The novels are not presented chronologically, but this sequence, according to the compilers of the book, is correct, as it helps to better see the unfolding and development of events in both works. Although the novels have different plots and characters, they have a common theme.

The proposed book will be interesting for the widest range of readers: young people, soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, those interested in the history of Ukraine, and many others.
