Description

Stephen Fry (born 1957) is a British comedian, writer, screenwriter, television presenter, and director, best known for his roles in television series. Fry is also known as a representative of the standard English spirit and a speaker of classical English. Almost all of his literary works have become bestsellers both in the author's native England and abroad.

"The Stars’ Tennis Balls" is a witty and at the same time deeply dramatic work, in which intellectual wordplay is combined with a tense plot. It is a kind of modern interpretation of Alexandre Dumas's novel "The Count of Monte Cristo", but in the style inherent in S. Fry - with cultural allusions, deep psychologism, brilliant humor, and British elegance. The author not only skillfully interweaves tragedy and comedy, but also makes the reader think about important moral issues. What is more important, justice or revenge? And does fate really govern our lives like tennis balls played with by the stars?
