Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors

"Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors. The book" is a special edition for the museum project "Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors". Exhibition". The world of Parajanov's cult film is explored and analyzed with
different positions. The authors introduced the film into the world context of the 60s, collected ethnographic information about the Carpathian space, conducted interviews with direct participants and
witnesses of filming, structured the biographical data of the creators of the picture. Archival materials from the filming process and unique storyboards for "Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors" help
reconstruct the making of the motion picture more authentically, while the folk legends that formed around the film are shown in the Pictoric Illustrators Club comics. Powerful
the cultural influence of "Shadow..." is demonstrated by examples of works of modern art. The catalog book is the result of a long-term project study.
