The fundamental study, to which the outstanding thinker Leonid Plyushch (1939–2015) devoted more than twenty years of work, offers a radically new perspective both on Khvylovy's work and on "our 1920s" in general. Through painstaking historical, biographical, and textual analysis of the poetry and prose of Khvylovy, it was possible to find an answer to the question of what "secret" he promised to reveal to Lyubchenko two weeks before his death.
The reader will be treated to a fascinating philological journey through the magical worlds of Rudolf Steiner, whose anthroposophical teaching was popular among the cultural elite of the "Shooted Renaissance", and most importantly - a journey through the pages of Khvylovy's equally "magical" texts, which under the close eye of the researcher acquire completely unexpected meanings.
The book was published with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.
