A book for his son, written during the war
He could show his son the world, teach and just be there. Instead, he went to defend his country in the russian-Ukrainian war. But despite the tiring military days, the main character does not forget to be a father. This is how this book came about - a conversation with a son who remains far away but at the same time is always nearby - in the very heart.
There are no battle scenes or battle descriptions. Valerii Puzik tries to demonstrate that even during the most brutal wars, a person is at the center of everything. He guides the reader through fragments of memories, reflections of the present, and dreams of the future, creating his own front-line reality.
This book is the here and now of thousands of soldiers at war. It is a living nerve that does not allow you to remain indifferent to everything surrounding you. It is a narrow path over the abyss that you have to walk in order to finally see the light - your children, your relatives, and your peaceful country.
What is good about this book:
- Written on the front lines of the russian-Ukrainian war, it is a living testimony of the historical events in Ukraine today.
- Thanks to the author's personal experience, the book reproduces the real experiences of people who stand in defense of our state without romanticization and embellishments.
- Despite the difficult subject and war context, the book gives hope that love and life will overcome darkness and death.
